Well, it's been a year now.
And I still miss my dad.  Not that my memories or grief can hold a candle to what I'm sure my mom's going through.  My youngest brother was over at Mom's last night with his family and I know she's going out to dinner tonight with at least one other (probably the middle one, but the older could be there as well) and his/their family.

I love you and miss you, Dad.

Bleach Panel Colorings
I've completely forgotten to post two panels that I've colored recently for Bleach.  The first one is Stark and Orihime from chapter 313, page 14, panel 1.

The second is Rukia and Gin from chapter 145, page 12, panel 1.

This one I did for a friend (Pansori) over on OneManga.com because she's such a huge Gin fan.  Based on some critique I got for this one, I'm thinking of redoing it slightly to change the highlights in Rukia's hair.  The lineart has that large area placed in it already, but it really doesn't work with how I did the hair, so what I'll probably do is just black that in and put my own version of the highlights in her hair.  That way it'll look more consistent with my style and won't bug me now that someone's pointed out how it looks.  Not that it's bad now, but I agreed that redoing that one spot made sense.

I've also started working coloring page 18 from chapter 213, Gin in his Espada outfit.  That will take a bit longer since I plan to do a full painting of it, meaning no lineart left.  I'm also about halfway done with a two-page spread of Mayuri, Unohana and Byakuya arriving in Hueco Mundo (chapter 298, pages 15-16).

And that's it for updates.

FMA Chapter 82 cover page colored
I've been ambitious the past few days and colored the cover of Chapter 82.  I've got two versions, one with text and one without (plus added clouds).

Scan is courtesy of Franky House, colors are by me, FMA (c) Hiromu Arakawa.  Half size versions, full size ones are viewable on my DeviantArt account.

Breaking the Bank – EQ2 and the broker
The broker – an EQ2 player’s one-stop source for purchasing craftables, collectables and other fun items.  I’ve only been back playing EQ2 for about a month or so now (started up yet again about a week before the Rise of Kunark (RoK) expansion was released) but utilizing the broker was one of the first things I did.  When I played WoW, using the auction house was pretty integral to buying and selling items as well, so working the EQ2 broker was a natural step.  The broker saves time, can make you money and actually provides me lots of enjoyment.

I’ll be the first to admit that numbers aren’t my thing.  I used to screw my checkbook up using a calculator back when I was single.  However, playing the broker game can be a fun challenge; at least I find it so.  Some items are so common that they aren’t worth putting up for sale, harvestable items mostly.  I’d rather hold off on selling that stack of Antonican coffee beans until I eventually start crafting or just destroy them over letting it sit in the broker for days on end at 2c each.  The market is flooded for most harvestables, especially at the level I’m gathering at (TS right now, so tier 3?).  The rares are a different matter; they are saleable at any level.

My Library
I really need to get a photo of it, but in the meantime, you can see a (very) small selection of what books I own over here at LibraryThing.com.  It's free to join, but you can only list ~200 books in your library.  If you want to have more, you have to pay for a membership, but it's only $25 if I remember correctly.   I heard about it over on F13 a while back and started listing my books, but haven't had the time to continue.  I really should just sit down and start entering titles.  If nothing else, it might give me an idea of just how many books I actually own.

Only reason I started entering books again is because I finished reading Twilight Watch last night.  Last of a trilogy by Sergei Lukyanenko (or maybe not, a few reviews say it's a tetralogy now.. interesting!), along with Night Watch and Day Watch, all three books are really excellent and enjoyable.  I like how he carried the interlinked stories along and the translation (from Russian) was great.  As in, I didn't notice any problems or thought anything sounded weird when I read the book.

NYTimes does an MMO article!
So I was catching up over on the CorpNews site, and found a link to an MMO article published by the NYTimes back on NOvember 28th. Wonder of wonders, it wasn't a bad article either. You can read about it over here if you want the full text, but this quote is my favorite:

At the strategic level, coalitions involving tens of thousands of players struggle for months over strategic objectives or simply to wipe out their enemies. For at least a year the most powerful group in Eve has been an alliance known as Band of Brothers, a self-appointed evil empire with the stated objective of taking over the galaxy. Against them is arrayed a motley batch of self-styled freedom fighters with names like the Red Alliance (mostly Russian), Tau Ceti Federation (mostly French), GoonSwarm (mostly obnoxious) and the Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate (mostly drunk).

Seriously, describing GoonSwarm as mostly obnoxious and the IAC as mostly drunk is just priceless!

Updated! EQ2 Character Art
This is an updated version of my previous character painting that I did earlier this month.  I was sufficiently bothered enough by the lack of a real background that I went in to do that and ended up making some changes/improvements to the image overall.  I didn't care for the way the skirt was looking because the folds just didn't seem real and properly placed to me.  Made the overall tones darker; it seems like I'm afraid of the darkest shades in so many of my works.  Fixed the hair and changed the color of the dress.  The overall image was looking a bit too green so I went with more of a blue shade.  I think it turned out better for the rework.

Quest Update!
RoK Quest Reward

Found a copy at a local Best Buy on Saturday.  Worst part of shopping there was the realization that holiday season is in full swing.  I couldn't pause to look at anything without some goober coming up and asking if I needed help.  Ugh.

Naruto - Yamato icons
So after watching Shippuden episode 34 and seeing my beloved Yamato finally animated and given a voice *swoon* I felt compelled to do something I normally don't - create icons.

I present to you 10 different icons with 49 variations. All can be used as bases (since adding text isn't my strong point) and I'd appreciate credit, but it's not a biggie. I'd like to see what others do if you use any as a base though. *smile*

Space-saving no jutsu! )

Enjoy!
